PumpFest follows the Official IFSC Boulder Competition Rules as outlined in the IFSC Rulebook, except where we’ve made specific changes for our event format.

Some adapted elements for PumpFest include:

• Clock Format
• Competition Format
• No Isolation Zones

IFSC Rules referenced for all other details

All other competition rules will follow IFSC standards, including:

• Topping a Boulder: You must control the top hold with both hands in a stable position for a valid top.
• Out of Bounds: If any part of your body touches the wall outside the marked zone, the attempt is invalid.
• Bolt Holes: Climbers can use the bolt holes found on climbing holds, but not the bolt holes on the wall or volumes.
